Vintage Luch Bi-Color from a soviet epoch, manufactured on Minsk Luch Factory (Belarus) in early 1970s, there is a quite large series of this watches with a different combinations of the dial and welt that has two different colors. Early slim cases series with a gold plated movement 2209. This watch is in good vintage original condition, that has some signs of time but still looks great. The case is AU10 gold plated and has scratches and gold plating loss on edges and near case back (can be seen good on photos). Original unpolished crystal has a bunch of scratches, with no crackles. Minute and hour arrows in good condition, second (red) arrow has big amount of patina or rust. Dial has minor paint damage (at 6 and 9 o’clock). Movement 2209 is wound up and runs, keeps time, but was not serviced for a long time and has some issues with winding up the watch (maybe the winding pinion has a tooth defect, because of which, if you wind it with pressure, it skips one position, besides, it winds up quite tightly, which indicates that the mechanism has not been cleaned for a long time). The winding crown has a small backlash in the case, but nevertheless it works, and the arrows are rotate normally. Engraving on case back says “A. I. Tokarenko on the day of the 50th anniversary from comrades”. Basic unworn strap was fixed on the podium, comes as a bonus with watch.
The item condition rating is based on the external condition relative to the worst to perfect storage condition, and points are awarded relative to the difference between these two extreme conditions (visual look).
